Listen to Sumukha S, a postdoctoral fellow from the Indian Institute of Technology - Gandhinagar, talk about the Mordell-Tornheim zeta Functions and Functional Equations for Herglotz-Zagier type Functions during his lecture at Ahmedabad University.
The lecture highlights the recent findings on the Mordell-Tornheim zeta function, a mathematical function focusing on equations involving two and three terms. This function is closely connected with a new extension of the Herglotz-Zagier function F(x) and confirms not only a well-known equation but also solves a problem related to Ishibashi functions, which has puzzled mathematicians for nearly two decades.
The lecture was a part of the Mathematical and Physical Sciences Research Seminar organised by Ahmedabad University's School of Arts and Sciences.
