The Stump Dodger is the name historicaly given to the train that the Sumpter Valley Railway ran between Baker City to Prairie City and back. The name comes from the fact that the narrow gauge SVRY had so many curves that the joke was the builders of the line had dodged the stumps! Here a modern day recreation of the Stump Dodger struts its stuff for photographers at the railroads annual Photographers Weekend, in October 2015.
