Featured speaker: Leonor Perretta, attorney.
There is hardly a more divisive and misunderstood topic in American politics today. It may determine who our next president and members of Congress will be. Our immigration system impacts the lives of those fleeing violence in their home countries, people seeking economic opportunity, and those of us living here with the benefit of lower prices due to foreign workers.
This Summer Forum program will address how our U.S. immigration system really works. Our featured speaker is Leonor Perretta of Leonor Perretta Law in Salt Lake City. Ms. Perretta has been an immigration lawyer since 1996. She has been focused exclusively on immigration law, including deportation defense, asylum, lawful permanent residents who find themselves in removal proceedings, immigrant visas in all family-sponsored categories, and survivors of domestic violence.
Recorded on July 30, 2023, as part of the annual Summer Forum series at the First Unitarian Church of Salt Lake City. Special thanks to moderator Mark Rothacher for hosting this installment of Summer Forum.
