Day 66. Great clean tone is often slightly dirty. A touch of saturation, drive, or grit on your bass can give it the traction to sit in a mix, almost like talons grabbing hold, without being overtly louder. Guitar players often use this technique, but bassists can benefit too. If you want to fit better in the mix, try subtle saturation.
