"Substation" is a first-person shooter developed by UDS (Unique Development Sweden) and released in 1995 on Atari STE.

The story focuses on an underwater base taken over by aliens. The player has to enter the game as a marine and investigate what has happened down there.
It consists of 12 levels, the game also supports multiplayer with multiple Ataris connected via the Midi-port.

SubStation features a true 3D world, real-time Gouraud shaded walls, advanced DD-Audio sound, real-time lightsourced sprites, 25 kHz sound quality, more than 30 colours.
It was one of the few games to take full advantage of the power of the Atari STE (this game is not compatible with the Atari ST).
