Starts playing when the player enters the annex through the portal.
The entire location is void of all color (interesting). There are three numbers on the wall. In Submachine 4, the numbers are 596 to help the player remember how to get back here should he/she choose to return to another location in the game; in Submachine Universe the numbers clue to the research base. There is a circular lever located in the leftmost room. In Sub4, this lever is used to exit to the main menu, labeled "EXIT; NO RETURN". In SubVerse, it does nothing but display a message: ROOT REQUEST / EXIT / = DENIED.
This location is not included in the HD version of Submachine 4. By the way, I love the ambience here.
