Ingredients
French Toast Batter:
12 slices Aunt Millie’s Bakehouse Brioche
2/3 cup milk (or heavy cream)
3 eggs
1/4 cup flour (Wondra or regular)
1 tbsp melted butter
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Butter (for the griddle)
PB&J Filling
Peanut butter
Jelly
S’mores Filling
Nutella or chocolate spread
6 marshmallow halves or 3 whole marshmallows (more than you used in the video)
Instructions
Make the batter
In a bowl or shallow dish, whisk flour and milk together until smooth.
Add eggs, melted butter, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
Whisk well. (Cinnamon will settle as it sits, so whisk again before dipping.)
Assemble the sandwiches
For PB&J: Spread peanut butter on one slice, jelly on the other.
For S’mores: Spread Nutella on one slice and top with marshmallows.
Close to make sandwiches.
Heat the griddle
Bring your griddle to 375–400°F.
(Optional but recommended): Cook a pound of bacon first, then scrape clean.
Dip the sandwiches
Whisk the batter again.
Dip each sandwich about 5 seconds per side.
Thick brioche holds up well—just don’t soak it for a full minute.
Cook on the griddle
Add butter to the griddle.
Place sandwiches down and cook 4–5 minutes per side.
Rotate them around the griddle so they cook evenly if your surface has hot/cool zones.
Flip and cook another 4–5 minutes until golden brown.
