When artists draw Asian characters, the first thing they usually focus on is the eyes. But there are actually many smaller facial differences that can completely change the feeling of a face.
For example, East Asian facial features often have softer silhouettes and a less pronounced brow ridge compared to the sharper and more angular structure you often see in Caucasian skulls.
What I find most interesting about studying different ethnicities isn’t following strict “rules” or creating stereotypes — it’s learning new facial structures and adding more variety and personality to my characters.
