As child, if you wear the hover boots and run off the ledge (or start wearing them on quicksand when Link is already sinking in) the game will crash [known]. Its because of the yellow circle underneath Link when walking off a ledge with hover boots in. The game does not load this effect properly so it crashes.
Theres actually a way to bypass this crash. That is doing Death OI to get into the invisible and during this state, the game will not load the yellow circle underneath Link. Making the game not crash when child Link hovers off a ledge :D
