On this ninth day of the STS-72 mission, the flight crew, Cmdr. Brian Duffy, Pilot Brent W. Jett, and Mission Specialists Leroy Chiao, Daniel T. Barry, Winston E. Scott, and Koichi Wakata (NASDA), awakened to music from the movie Star Wars. The astronauts conducted a news conference via satellite and answered questions from both Japanese and U.S. reporters at the Kennedy Space Center and the Johnson Space Center.
