Fourteen years ago, the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami caused immense devastation, changing countless lives. On March 11, we commemorate those affected and reaffirm our commitment to build a safer future.
Through the Tsunami Project, UNDP and the Government of Japan are helping schools and communities across the Asia-Pacific region, so that future generations are ready when a tsunami strikes.
