GATESOL presents
Strengthening Connection Through Courageous Conversations
Jennifer Pendergrass, EdD
ESOL/Title III Coordinator - Floyd County Schools

We have the greatest potential for being effective when we are connected. We need to connect with our students, the families of our students, our colleagues, and our leaders. Healthy conversations in which we state our needs or advocate for our students’ needs can be difficult, but they are critical to creating a space where all voices are heard. This plenary explores the stories of educators. It seeks to illuminate key aspects of their courageous conversations and empower attendees to create spaces for intentional advocacy in their schools.
