AKA Street Fighter Zero in Japan. This is the Arcade version of the game. Played on Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection on Nintendo Switch.
Review – I would have loved this game back in the day, but I never had the 32-bit consoles until after I got my N64. Although I did end up getting Street Fighter Alpha 3 on the PS1 and I loved it. The graphical style of this is great and definitely differentiates it from the other Street Fighters. The character roster is a bit small at 10 characters but as a first game, it’s good enough as everything else is new. The controls are easy to get into as it is standard street fighter, but this game does introduce Air Block. I loved air blocking but obviously, Capcom fizzled it out of their fighting games.
This game brings a new lease of life into Street Fighter but the later iterations are much better.
