The Streamlight TLR-7A is a game changer. With the Streamlight TLR-7A you get a 500 lumen compact pistol weapon light. I have the Streamlight TLR-7 A on my Glock 19 for concealed carry. The original TLR-7 had a horrible actuation action, which is fixed now on the TLR-7A. I used to use the Surefire X300 Ultra but am now switching to the Streamlight TLR-7A. I do believe the TLR-7A could have an additional actuation level as an option that is a little higher, but ultimately the new TLR-7 A is 80% better than the original TLR-7.

When the Surefire XR1 comes out I will be getting one to compare the TLR-7A and I believe they will be very close in terms of performance. Although Surefire says the XR1 has a 1 hour battery life (rechargable) and the TLR-7 A has a 1.5 hour runtime. So unless the XR1 is much better, or have a much hotter center that outperforms the TLR-7A's moderately hot center, I am sticking with the Streamlight TLR-7A.
