There have been lots of comments about this realm of how to read or interpret biblical stories attributed to Jesus. So, let's take a more direct approach today so that I can help tease out a good bit of the material I am thinking of that can help you reframe the way you think about the Synoptics vs. John, and reframe how you think about that guy Jesus in general.

We have been talking about and dancing around the difference between what would have gotten Jesus killed, his "mission," if you will, and what Paul did with Jesus' death. Let's go a bit more full throttle into those waters today and in the next "Story Time!" that is just me.
