Storms deposit sediments with distinctive characteristics (facies). In this video, I describe a typical sequence of deposits from a storm as well as some of their variations. These include: 1) erosional bases; 2) fining upward sequence; 3) hummocky cross stratification in fine sand; and 4) wave ripple cross lamination.
