How does someone go from a weather map 3+ days out, take time off work/school, and eventually film a tornado or collect science? This is pretty much how it's done. Watch storm chasers spread out across the plains looking for the best place to catch a tornado on a day that produced BIG TIME.

A synoptically evident tornado event unfolded in Kansas and Nebraska. In other words, this was an event we could see coming for days. But even that doesn't guarantee Tornadoes. So to catch them, you need to sniff the dirt and know what the storm is thinking. J/k! We use Science! What do we have to work with and how do we interpret that data? That's what this video is for.
