Testing the MLLSE AMD Radeon RX 5500 from AliExpress in 11 popular and demanding games in 2024, using an average gaming PC.
Graphics cards from unofficial brands have been a thing on AliExpress for years now, with the RX 580 2048 being particularly successful during the Scalper Pandemic. Now that the days of the GCN architecture are finally numbered as AMD prepares to move it to the Legacy Support category, RDNA cards look like a better bet, both for current games and for the future. For under $100, the RX 5500 is the cheapest RDNA offering available from brands like MLLSE and Soyo, so it seemed like a good idea to see how it handles the latest in AAA games.
