Our Specialized Traffic Enforcement Unit (aka D.U.I.) officers take drunk driving very seriously… because they know the tragic impact it can have. Last month, our officers partnered with Jacksonville Beach Police, Neptune Beach Police, the St. Johns Sheriff’s Office, and other community partners to host a Wolfpack deployment in Jacksonville Beach in honor of 18-year-old Jack Wheeler and 18-year-old Trenton Steward. Jack and Trenton, both teens from Northeast Florida, lost their lives to drunk drivers.
Your decision to drive drunk impacts more than just you. It puts everyone’s lives in danger, and you could be the reason someone’s loved one doesn’t come home.
There are plenty of options available to you to get home safely that don’t involve getting behind the wheel drunk. But, if you make that choice, know our D.U.I. officers will stop you and arrest you.
