If you want to fight like a pro, you need to master the basics, and that starts with STRIKING distance, do NOT confuse this with "controlling the distance between your opponent".
In this video, I break down one of the most critical skills in striking: the striking distance, meaning, what distance to stand from your opponent to deliver the most power with your hand strikes, since some strikes are longer than others. So, again, this is not about controlling the distance between you and your opponent; it does have some elements of it, though, and that's another video, as there's more to it.
It might not be flashy, but it’s the foundation to hit the hardest with any strike (If, of course, you FIRST watched the "Maximum Punching Power" video). Whether you’re training for UFC-level competition, Karate Combat, Kickboxing, or Muay Thai, or maybe you want to be a better striker, don’t skip this.
I also share fight coaching tips and what separates average fighters from champions. Hint: it’s not just talent, it’s endurance and understanding the fight IQ behind every move.
💥 How to create your own distance in striking
💥 Tips for fighters and coaches training at all levels
💥 Why endurance wins fights, more than power or speed
💥 What separates elite fighters from the rest?
💥 Lessons from an MMA Hall of Famer
Train smarter. Master distance. Build your foundation.
