Do you have a habit of giving an automatic "yes" to requests before you even think?
You have to build in the pause. You don't need to have the perfect words right away—you just need to interrupt the reactive cycle. Try using this one sentence: "Let me check and I'll get back to you."
It is infinitely easier to give an authentic no when you haven't already trapped yourself in a reactive yes. Try using this boundary today! 👇
