For a lot of women, slowing down doesn’t feel peaceful. It feels… wrong.
When you’ve spent years being valued for what you do, not who you are, stillness can feel like failure. Like you’re wasting time. Like you should be doing something more productive.
But that feeling didn’t come out of nowhere. It was learned. Over time, your needs were treated as interruptions. Your interests were minimized. And eventually, you started doing that to yourself.
So reclaiming your time isn’t just about hobbies or rest. It’s about something much deeper.
It’s about learning to care for yourself in ways no one else did. It’s about shifting out of constant reaction and into a life where you get to choose what happens next.
That’s not a waste. That’s healing.
