Automation is not a replacement for creative energy.
I see this all the time. Someone comes to me wanting to "automate their content." But when I dig in, they're not actually creating content. They're hoping automation will do it for them.
You're basically screwed if that's your mindset.
Here's why: automation is about efficiency. It takes something you're already doing and makes it faster, smoother, more scalable. But efficiency doesn't make good content. It never has.
Think about it—if you're not already putting creative energy into your content, what exactly are you automating? You're scaling nothing. You're making zero more efficient, and zero times anything is still zero.
The people who win with content automation are the ones who already have a creative process. They already know what works. They already have something worth saying. The automation just removes the friction around it.
Your automation should be a multiplier for your creative energy, not a substitute for it.
Most people don't want to hear this. They want the shortcut. They want to set up a system that runs while they sleep and wakes them up with an audience. That's not how it works.
You have to do the hard part first. Sit down. Create something. Put your thinking into it. Make it good. Then—and only then—figure out how to do that faster.
