Three thousand years ago the son of King David asked God for wisdom. Solomon
was humble and inquisitive, and stories attributed to him makes the old
Testament worth reading. The Greek term ekklesiastes means “preacher,”
derived from the word ekklesia, translated “assembly” or “congregation”.
I'm reminded of the Spanish word iglesia, meaning church. Here are some
collected myths, stories and legends of Solomon, from miraculous wiseman
to "probably a fictional character given credit for the biblical
passages composed of various sources."
10th Century BCE, perhaps 950 - 930 BCE
