Mongaku, was priest of the True Word, the Shingon School of Buddhism in Japan in the 12th and 13th Century. He is known as a restorer of the Jingo-ji temple in Kyoto, Japan. Once a warrior and a guard at the imperial court in Kyoto, Mongaku, also called Mirito Endo, he renounced the secular world at age 18 and devoted himself to austere Buddhist practice. Daniel has studied the practices of this sect of Buddhism and will present his understandings of the teachings and the application for us today in our daily lives.
Daniel is the Facilitator of FILING, Fellowship of the Inner Light International, Nippon Group. An ordained Fellowship Minister, he has taught Inner Light Consciousness throughout Japan. A student of many disciplines of spiritual growth, Daniel has worked as a career counselor, medical social worker and restaurant manager. He lives in Tokyo with his wife Eriko and two children Souta and Nico.
