The Lawrence Hall of Science | STEM Career Showcase for Students with Disabilities @lawrencehallofscience | Uploaded 9 years ago | Updated 11 hours ago
The great jobs of tomorrow will be in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). People with disabilities are currently underrepresented in these fields, despite recent advances in the accessibility of information technology and other tools used by working professionals.

The STEM Career Showcase for Students with Disabilities is a joint project of the Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute and the Lawrence Hall of Science. Attendees will meet role models with disabilities who have thriving careers in STEM fields, talk with other students and families, and learn from hands-on science demonstrations. Students will leave the showcase with a better understanding of the many professional possibilities available, and hopefully the inspiration to pursue STEM careers.
