Lighting the way to new careers, a nonprofit offers support and a skilled trade to the marginalized.

Founded in Indianapolis in 2017, the Latinas Welding Guild offers hands-on instruction and support for women and men looking for jobs in metal fabrication. Willing to break down the barriers keeping people from their training, the guild offer scholarships, bilingual teachers, and mentorship to bring in-demand skills and certification to the Indiana communities that need it.

Join Across Indiana Producer Kevin Ratermann as he introduces you to the founder, the instructors, and the students who broke barriers together to make the guild what it is today.

So, pick up your helmet and gloves, fire up the welder, and see the opportunities this group can spark up for those in need.
