Testing 30 Steam Deck 3D prints in 30 days. Day 19: Crystal Geode Display Stand - when bigger isn't better.

THE SIZE PROBLEM:
This looked way smaller in the pictures. Four-piece print (2 rock base sections + 2 crystals) that assembles into something really wide. Takes up massive desk space for what it does—just hold your Deck on display.
WHAT WORKS:
Rock texture looks realistic, color-shifting silk filament for crystals catches light nicely, print quality is solid. Pieces slot together tight—no glue needed. Deck sits stable and secure, ports accessible, vents have space at back, good viewing angle. Layer lines aren't visible—rock facets hide them. Doesn't look 3D printed.
WHAT DOESN'T:
Too big. Way wider than expected. For sixteen hours of print time and over five hundred grams of filament, this is overkill for a display stand. There are smaller, simpler options that do the same job without eating half your desk.
THE VERDICT:
Not bad—just not worth it. Functionally it works, aesthetically it looks cool, but practically it's too much time, too much material, too much space for what it delivers.
Unless you really love this specific rock-and-crystal aesthetic AND have dedicated desk space for it, skip this one.
