Rae Sikora, co-founder of the Institute for Humane Education, and Aaron Wissner, of Local Future, discuss ways to stay positive and upbeat in times of challenge and change.
As always, try playing at 2x speed first, then step back from there if it is too fast :-) You are invited to: react, like, comment, and share :-)
Ways to Stay Positive:
1. Get out into nature for more than 30 minutes per day
2. Meditate
3. Unplug - "tire iron the TV and radio"
4. Eat whole foods (unprocessed, no added sugar, oils, salt)
5. Help something grow (a garden, etc.)
6. Reach out and help others; ask them what they need, what they want
7. Recognize that it is not your fault, in fact, as tough as it it to believe, it is no one's fault
8. Take a nice shower (or more) if possible
9. Allow humor in, if possible
10. Remember, all our ancestors were okay, and we will be to
11. Look at our lives as our own "Hero's Journeys"
12. What did we forget? Please add your ideas in the comments! :-)
