Jaw-dropping surveillance video captured the terrifying moment a Staten Island, New York, man was struck by lightning while walking outside in the rain. Thomas Fahmy was holding an umbrella when a sudden, blinding flash sent him crashing to the ground. Miraculously, Fahmy got back to his feet moments later and immediately sought shelter inside a neighbor’s home. He was later transported to a local hospital for evaluation, where doctors determined he suffered no burns and had not lost consciousness during the intense electrical strike.
