I finished this video in essentially three days. I had very little inspiration or will to want to edit and it was a week away from being the end of June. I didn't want to give up though but I had no ideas, so I decided to treat this month's video like an IC. I had Toya (xGeminii) pick a song for me which I then edited to. (Thank you for helping me out with that!) This song had a really nice atmosphere to it, and at first I felt it didn't have much of a climax or build up, but it was a very fitting mood for Tokyo Ghoul, so that's what I did. Since the first season of RE: just finished up, it was a perfect fit.
I wanted to focus on the inner turmoil and mental issues of the lead characters of Kaneki/Haise. I never realized how difficult it is to edit an almost 'multiple personality' video like this. It may be confusing since Kuroneki, Shironeki, and Haise all look very different (I didn't even get to include the Black Reaper either... Ken has such serious issues), but I tried my best to just try and show that 'conflict'. 'A coin may have two sides, but it's still one coin' - or something. It's nowhere near perfect, but I like the results well enough. On a side note: Last months video was about a person coming to terms with reality and forming a sense of 'peace of mind' while this months video is about a character that fails to come to terms with reality and is destroyed by their own mind. Yay for weird connections / opposites!
...and I ended the video with the main character dying. All is well with the world.
