State of Decay is a wonderful new Xbox Live Arcade game from Undead Labs that mixes The Walking Dead, Grand Theft Auto and Sims into one solid package.
One of the main draws of the game is it's permadeath mechanic for characters. You control random survivors and grow them RPG style making them better fighters, thinkers or shootists. The catch is: If they die, it's forever and all you put into them is gone.
In this spirit I played vigilantly and safely forging hours and hours of gameplay with little risk. Then this one night when I was finishing up, I decided to get cute and mess around. This is how quickly that can kill you.
