One last thing I forgot to mention on Animal testing- China won't be loosing money regardless of brands pulling out. Almost all of the cosmetics on the market are produced (in some way) in China, it really doesn't matter to them if they are sold back to China- the brands still manufacture there. The labels, the stickers, the paper packaging, the bottles, the ingredients, taxing companies for export. They are still making money off of you regardless of if you choose a cruelty free product or not because almost ALL product has something sourced from China. So in turn people say NO to animal testing because of China and try to 'hurt' the brand, all the while purchasing a Chinese made product that is 'Cruelty free' (and in my eyes) nullifying their argument.
People only have a certain level of moral caring- once it gets a layer or two deep they don't realize that there is larger ties in China than boycotting a brand will effect. If that was the desired outcome- people would boycott China in full. But no one will. lol it's a rather funny catch 22.
