Dr. Astrid Stuckelberger MSc PhD Privat-Docent is a public health scientist with an international academic research and teaching career in public health at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. She is Professor at the University of Lausanne and Universities of Switzerland as well as for an American University Program on Global Health and Development in Geneva and for the Study Abroad international training program. Astrid has authored more than 180 scientific articles, policy documents and government, EU and UN reports, as well as 12 books. She received an award from Switzerland and from the United Nations Secretary General for her international work and was a consultant and a project collaborator with both the WHO and the UN during her career. Astrid worked for more than 3 years with the WHO in Geneva to develop a training course for member states to implement the WHO International Health Regulation (IHR) as a legally binding law for all member states. Astrid became skeptical about the COVID-19 narrative and the WHO’s interventions at an early stage when she found them to be contrary to the IHR pandemic preparedness guidelines. She wrote several articles where she questioned the risk assessment and emergency management of member states and the massive policy response reported in scientific and media articles.
