Ingrid Crickmore | START HERE! 5-loop square fingerloop braid, pt.1 @loopbraider | Uploaded September 2011 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
Or see my more recent 3-loop braid videos for an even easier intro to loop braiding. (Click on Loopbraider, above, to see all my videos.) This is #1 of my 4-video series teaching the V-fell method of fingerloop braiding. This one shows how to start braiding a 5-loop square braid. Lots of slo-mo. Ran over the time limit, so broke it into 2 videos. The 3rd and 4th video demo making a flat, wide variation of this square braid (learn this braid first). Uses the Asian or V-fell style of fingerloop braiding (a.k.a. Method 2). This method allows the braider to make up to 9-loop braids with only one loop on any finger, whereas all the other methods limit a braider to 7 loops.
