Starlink Mini setup and field test from Arctic Finland at approximately 65° north. I test portable power, solar charging, connection speeds, latency, and a live Starlink-to-Starlink video call from the field.
The portable kit includes the Starlink Mini, Anker Prime 250 power bank, PowerFilm 100W folding solar panel, and an iPad Pro. Backyard testing reached 92 Mbps download and 11.9 Mbps upload. Field testing reached approximately 177 Mbps download and 13.7 Mbps upload.
The live video call with Mark M0IAX demonstrates how Starlink Mini performs as a portable internet connection beyond conventional cellular and terrestrial networks. I also explain how Starlink can complement ham radio for off-grid and grid-down communications.
