Note that HEADPHONES are OPTIONAL for this sleep music!
One of the things that I feel makes a good brainwave entrainment sleep aid is a balance between efficacy and discreetness. That is, for the tones buried under the sleep music to be quiet enough to be non-intrusive, but just loud enough to be trigger a frequency following response (FFR for short). The FFR is the underlying principle of brainwave entrainment and signifies the process in which your brain synchronises with the repetitive audible stimulus. While this effect has been documented in many scientific papers, it’s effects have actually been known for thousands of years, with ancient cultures such as the Native American shamans using sound in the form of tribal drum rhythms among other things to bring about altered states of consciousness. Another good example is the Tibetan monk’s use of mantra, bells and singing bowls to sink into that state of pure awareness.
Binaural beats and isochronic tones are essentially consciousness altering devices for the modern, digital age. While simple in form, there exists an art into successfully integrating them into musical form; something we've aimed to perfect over the years while bringing them to a wider audience.
This journey hasn't been seamless however, as the industry has inevitably attracted its fare share of shady fraudsters who profit greatly from those most vulnerable. The effects of sound therapy should be verifiable by those who use it, and not advertised based on false promises of spiritual wealth, superhuman powers, and other pipe dreams. The propagation of these videos says a lot about the people behind them, who cherish money over your well being.
It can be hard to compete with these fanciful marketing ploys which are irresistible to many. Brainwave entrainment was always meant to be a tool, and not a crutch; to improve your well being and not give you false hope! I won't out anyone here, but the best advice I can give is to be on the lookout for fluffy, smiling assassins - frequency wizards...wolves in sheep's clothing ;) If your bullshit detector goes off, even faintly, trust your first instincts.
This stuff has been a major passion of my life though for nearly ten years, and it's this labour of love which keeps me going. The act of creating content, sharing it with others and reading people's positive experiences will always be worth it :) To those who have been into the channel from the start, as well as those just joining... I tip my hat off to you and thank you very much for your interest and support.
