What started as an attempt to complete the game without using any checkpoints turned into my first ever no death run playthrough of Rebel Assault.

Star Wars Rebel Assault is an on-rails shooter released in 1993. Compared to X-Wing which was released in the same year it lacked the mechanical depth of a space combat simulator but it had incredible graphics for its time. Some have also called it one of the hardest video games ever made. In Rebel Assault you take the role of a new rebel recruit who goes through several campaigns inspired by the first two Star Wars films. You get to take on TIE Fighters, Star Destroyers and even get to partake in the famous trench run.
