This is part 3/3 of a soundscape for 8 speakers and 2 subwoofers (here in a binaural version) that played in the Leuven city hall. The theme of the event was "Cosmic Listening Experience". This part is my personal favorite part and also the majority of the audience in Leuven seemed to enjoy it most. It's quite the earworm. For extra alien effect, most of the notes you hear cannot be played on a normal piano! It is music based on notes that you get by dividing the distance between two successive "do"-notes on a piano keyboard into 14 equal parts. In comparison: practically all Western music divides the octave into 12 equal parts instead (which is known as "the chromatic scale"). The melodies and harmonies are composed manually, and the rhythms are generated algorithmically.

"star wars"-like theme written by myself in 14 EDO on analog synthesizer sequential prophet rev2 with additional percussion on Roland Integra-7, with some weird rhythms generated in the supercollider programming language. Also the complete laser shooting in the background is algorithmically generated in supercollider.
