This music was written for the @SpikeyTortoise adaptation of DARK EMPIRE of the Star Wars Extended Universe.
The music was composed by Daniel Ciurlizza, Bill Snyder III, and Roland Bingaman as an experiment—and in preparation—for incorporating traditional Star Wars music with unique scoring styles on future Star Wars projects. Working with Lucasfilm and Disney is a particularly big goal for me.
Within these experiments, we explored using both original themes and styles that John Williams used on the Star Wars feature films, as well as themes and styles that Williams and George Lucas might have had as reference music when creating the original Star Wars films.

Traveling through the depths of space, Ray Ashford is one of many astronauts tasked with finding a habitable planet to replace a dying Earth. His wife, Elora Ashford, another astronaut on the same mission, is light-years away on her own Traveler ship.
During Rays journey, communications break down and things go terribly wrong with the Travelers systems. Ray eventually learns that he is the very last hope for humanitys future. The music on this video demo was inspired by the motion picture EDGE OF TOMORROW, directed by Doug Liman. Also inspired by the book ALL YOU NEED IS KILL by Hiroshi Sakurazaka.
I decided not to die with three rounds left in my pile driver.
I lifted a leg. I put a hand on one knee.
I stood.
I screamed. I forced myself to keep going.
The red Jacket turned to me.
I heard some noise over my headphones, but I couldnt tell what she was trying to say. One of the Mimics in the pack stood out from the rest. It wasnt that it looked different from the others. Just another drowned, bloated frog. But there was something about it that set it apart. Maybe proximity to death had sharpened my senses, but somehow I knew that was the one I was meant to fight.
So thats what I did.
