Episode: "Too Short a Season"
The Enterprise has been ordered to transport Admiral Mark Jameson [a man of 80+ years] to planet Mordan IV to negotiate with dissidents for the release of hostages. Turns out that this crisis was devised and orchestrated by the planet's leader Karnas a mere ploy to draw out the retiring Admiral, a man with whom Karnas had been nursing a vandetta against for more than 4 decades. In those years not only had Jameson gotten older, but he had also been struck down by a physically debilitating and incurable condition known as Iverson's disease, confining him to a support chair. During the voyage to Mordan IV, the frail old admiral starts exhibiting a curious turnaround in his physical condition, beginning with the reverasal of his illness (thought terminal) swiftly followed by his aging.
He was doing okay at the beginning of this de-aging process, but Jameson's condition has taken a turn for the worse, forcing him to endure physical stresses that his young body can't take... And yet his mission to Mordan IV continues.
