Star Trek Discovery has been controversial since the moment it was announced, and now that we are five episodes into the first season I feel as though I've seen enough to form a coherent opinion about it. Though my opinion may change over time, currently, I do not feel the show is off to a good start, and I explain why in this video. This is not an attack on the show, rather, an analysis of the first 5 episodes from the perspective of someone who is a writer, a sci-fi fan, a trekker, and a pompous egomaniac endeavoring to answer the question: Is Star Trek Discovery Any Good? Please take all critiques with a grain of salt.
