Recently, YouTube commentator Gary over at the Nerdrotic channel revealed that a source has told him that Disney doesn't actually own the rights to the Original Trilogy of Star Wars, and that the studio secretly licenses the material from George Lucas. Apparently, this is why Disney isn't using the original characters and ships from episodes 4-6 for projects like Galaxy's Edge, and why they are killing them off in favor of new characters they have full ownership of. However, I believe Gary's source to be 100% bogus, and I explain why this rumor is complete malarky in this video. Do you agree with my analysis? Let me know in the comments!
