Although the Star Raiders II we ended up with was a hasty rebrand of a movie tie-in, there was also a sequel rather more true to the original in the works around the same time. Unfortunately, it never made it to official release, but programmer Aric Wilmunder had the foresight to take it with him when he left Atari, and released it to the public in 2015. Let's try it on The400 Mini!
