Stridsvagn 103
Swedish cold war main battle tank
The Stridsvagn 103 (Strv 103), also known as the S-Tank, is a Swedish post-WWII main battle tank. It is known for its unconventional design: it is turretless with a fixed gun traversed by engaging the tracks and elevated by adjusting the hull suspension. While turretless armoured fighting vehicles are usually classified as assault guns or tank destroyers, despite its unique gun layingprocess, the Strv 103 is considered a tank because its designated combat role matched those of other tanks within contemporary Swedish doctrine. It is the only mass-produced tank since World War II to dispense with a turret.
The Strv 103 was designed and manufactured in Sweden. It was developed in the 1950s and was the first main battle tank to use a turbine engine. The result was a very low-profile design with an emphasis on survivability and heightened crew protection level. Strv 103s formed a major portion of the Swedish armoured forces from the 1960s to the 1990s

Historical VR Class Tk3 steam locomotive with classic passenger carriages. Traveling from Nokia to Tampere, Finland, easter 2024.
The train is operated by Haapamäen Museoveturiyhdistys ry, Finnish museum train association. More information at https://www.hmvy.fi/.
The Finnish VR Class Tk3 (original classification K5) was a 2-8-0 light freight locomotive. It was the most numerous steam locomotive class in Finland with 161 built. 100 locomotives were constructed between 1927 and 1930, with a further 61 ordered and constructed 1943–53. They were numbered 800–899, 1100–1118, and 1129–1170.

They were designed for a low axle load of just 10.7 tonnes (10.5 long tons; 11.8 short tons). This allowed them to operate on lightly laid secondary lines, but during their many years of service, up to the end of the steam era, they were also widely used on main lines hauling slow passenger trains that made frequent stops.
They were affectionately called Pikku-Jumbo (The Little Jumbo) because of their good performance despite their low weight. They had a low fuel consumption (usually Tk3s used birch wood) and good riding characteristics. They also had good steaming characteristics and were very popular among locomotive crews.
The livery of Tk3 was the same as other VR steam locomotives: dark locomotive green with a black smokebox. When new some locos were lined with thin gold decoration. The gold decorations were not repainted during maintenance, so they were seldom seen.
Two Tk3-type engines were originally supplied by Tampella to Rauma Rautatie as Nos. 9 and 10 (ex-No. 8) in 1935 and 1927 respectively. These engines became Tk3 1117 and 1118 after the private railway was absorbed by the State network in 1950.[1]

K9 Thunder Moukari
In July 2016, the Finnish Ministry of Defence announced that an undisclosed number of used K9s have been selected to be acquired from the Republic of Korea. The acquisition is claimed to be biggest of the decade for the Land Forces, whose both mobile and towed artillery face mass outdating in the 2020s. In February 2017, the Ministry of Defence announced that Finland will acquire 48 used K9s over a period of seven years starting in 2018, with conscript training on the equipment commencing in 2019. In November 2022 Finland announced to buy 48 more K9s. After delivery of all weapons Finland will have 96 K9 SPGs.
The K9 Thunder is a South Korean self-propelled 155 mm howitzer developed by Samsung Techwin for the Republic of Korea Armed Forces and now manufactured by Hanwha Land Systems. It was developed to supplement and then replace the K55 self-propelled howitzers in South Korean service.
K9 is an indigenous system of an all-welded steel armour construction which is rated to withstand 14.5 mm armour piercing rounds, 152 mm shell fragments, and anti-personnel mines. The main armament consists of a 155 mm/52 caliber ordnance with a maximum firing range of 40 km; the K307 BB-HE projectile propelled by the K676 top charge has a muzzle velocity of 928 m/s (3,040 ft/s). State-of-the-art mobility subsystems include a 1,000 horsepower (750 kW) engine with potential for growth and hydropneumatic suspension unit, a requirement for Koreas rugged mountainous terrain.

Toimitusten päätyttyä Suomella on 96 K9-panssarihaupitsia.

Pansarbil fm/29 was first introduced to the Swedish Armed forces in 1927. When the Goverment permitted a 10 Thousand SEK budget (Which is equallent to around 300000 SEK (or 30 thousand USD) in today’s value), in a attempt to find a provisional solution to design a domestic “armoured car tactic”. The original plan was to import foreign armoured cars and incorporate them to the Armed forces. However, there were no suitable foreign design to solve the demad. And so the Swedish Armed Forces opted for a domestic design and production of armoured cars within Swedish Territory.
One of the main requirements for the design of the armoured car, compared to the others which were produced in Tidaholm (Pansarbil fm/25 and fm/26 4): Were the ability to be able to drive off-terrain in certain scenarios. The Pavesi P4/100 Artillery tractors were initally purchased from Italy as a reference for the design of the vehicle. The Chassis design were handed to the “Artilleridepartementets konstruktionsavdelning” at KAF (Kungliga Arméförvaltningen), in which the final drawings of the design was completed in July 1930. The task of proucing said Chassis however, was handed over to AB Landsverk, which had it’s background in the construction of railway carriages, elevators and even pumping stations. By June 1931, the chassis for the armoued car was completed
Pansarbil fm/29 has two stearing wheels, meaning it can drive up to 60km/h in both directions.
However, at the same time as AB Landsverk was done with the Chassis. The construction/production of the armoured protection and hull of the vehicle was being made at the Manufacture Department of the “Artilleridepartementet”. This armored body consisted of riveted plates (or regular industry steel) with a thickness of around 4-6mm. Bofors also helped with the design by giving the armoured plates angles in order to improve the overall protection. The wheels of the armoued car was also protected by the riveted plates. Due to it’s abnormal design of the vehicle, many compared it as a glossy monster than a actual armoured car.
