• Before joining Madeline Mann's Standout Job Search coaching program, Anderson found himself at a crossroads, yearning for a significant career change but lacking direction and clarity on how to translate his experience into seemingly unrelated roles. His job search was unfocused, and he struggled to gain traction in his desired industry.
Through Madeline Mann's coaching program, Anderson experienced three transformative impacts that revolutionized his approach to job searching. First, the program encouraged deep reflection on his accomplishments, skills, and competencies. By starting with himself rather than job postings, Anderson discovered the value he could bring to any role, regardless of his previous experience.
The "finding the glory in your story" exercise was particularly instrumental in helping Anderson craft a compelling resume and tailor it to different opportunities. This strategic approach not only affirmed his worth but also equipped him with a powerful toolkit to showcase his skills effectively.
Second, Anderson learned the art of deciphering job postings and crafting resumes that resonated with the specific requirements of each role. This skill proved invaluable in helping him stand out from the competition and demonstrate his fit for the positions he pursued.
Third, and perhaps most importantly, the program instilled in Anderson a newfound sense of confidence. Armed with a clear understanding of his value proposition and the ability to articulate it persuasively, he approached job interviews with poise and self-assurance.
The results of Anderson's dedication and the program's guidance were nothing short of remarkable. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic in the summer of 2020, Anderson swiftly transitioned from an unfocused job search to landing a coveted role in the tech industry.
Remarkably, Anderson's success didn't end with securing his new role. Within just a couple of months of starting the program, he conducted a dozen conversations with individuals in his top two target companies, leveraging the cold outreach techniques he had learned.
For anyone considering investing in their career growth, Anderson offers a powerful message: there is no perfect time to embark on a career transition or job search. The best time to invest in yourself is right now. The money and time invested in Madeline Mann's coaching program continue to pay dividends, providing a comprehensive skill set that enables success in both current roles and future opportunities.

![How To Answer, “Why did you leave your last job?” When You Already Resigned
Here’s how to answer, “Why did you leave your last job?” when the real story is a little... complicated.
The goal is to answer it in a way that positions your move as a pull, not a push.
You were being PULLED towards something positive, instead of PUSHED from something negative.
For example, you an say something like:
🍊“I was fortunate to be in a position financially to take time off from work. Around the same time, my [spouse/partner] was laid off, so we used it as an opportunity to travel. Now I’m back, recharged, and excited for my next challenge.”
You’re not running from something.
You’re moving towards something.
And that makes all the difference.
Whether you spent that time traveling, caregiving, or just reconnecting with your family, it was your choice.
When you focus on the negatives, companies see you as having a victim mindset.
(And if you’re thinking “but it was a bad situation,” I see you. That’s still valid. But how you frame it matters.)
I teach strategies like this in the Unshakable Interviews Masterclass.
