'Stand By Me' - Based on the original 1961 version by Ben E. King; faithfully recreated here in 2021, 60 years on. One of my favourite tunes, the hardest part was transcribing the string melody, but I've tried to stay true to the original. This song was written by Ben E. King and the famous songwriting team Leiber/Stoller, and was given a new lease of life when it was featured in the movie 'Stand By Me' - 25 years after the song's initial release.
