In this series session we will cover the basics of Light Source Theory. Basically, this is where you breakdown an image into 3 categories: Highlights, Mid-tones and Shadows. To clarify this a little, when the sun (or a light) hits an object, it becomes brighter or highlighted. At the same time, we also have the opposite effect, which is shadows.  Shadows are the area of an object that are not receiving the light. The contrast between the highlights and the shadows is the mid-tones which give the object shape and the cast shadow gives depth perception.
