With my sister's wedding only a couple weeks away, I really needed to prioritize what I worked on in the barn. I realized getting a railing up in the loft area and stairs should be a very high priority for safety. I decided I wanted the section opposite the stairs to be a solid pony wall, using the old gravel compactor 8x8" beam as a corner post. After this wooden section is built, I head up to the farm shop to start fabricating the metal railing.
