• Stair Descent

Stand upright at the top of the stairs. Whilst holding the handrail(s) and keeping your upper body straight, place the rear half of the prosthetic foot on the step.

Red light indicates insufficient loading.
Orange light indicates partial loading.
Green light indicates sufficient loading.

The bar display indicates knee support and the grey shadow the maximum support achieved between 30°and 50° knee flexion.
Load your prosthetic side until you see the green light. Gradually move your pelvis forward to initiate flexion.

Unload your sound side and swing it out in front. Feel the resistance of the knee and place your sound side on the next step.
Try to achieve maximum output on the display bar indicating support by keeping the prosthetic side loaded and your upper body straight.
Repeat for another step.
